Sign rules: If both dividend and divisor use the same sign type (both + or both −), the quotient is positive — arrows point toward +. If signs are mixed (+ with −), the quotient is negative — arrows point toward −.
Steps: (1) Follow the sign arrows. (2) Divide absolute values (ignore signs). (3) Write the final number on the line.
